The Fault In Our Stars

ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR THIS? HAVE YOU READ THE NOVEL YET? WELL IF YOU DON'T READ YET, GRAB THE BOOK NOW BEFORE YOU WATCH IT. WHY? BECAUSE YOU'LL KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTH AND YOU COULD FEEL THE STORY AND UNDERSTAND MORE IN BOTH VERSIONS.

Oh, 6 June? Nah that's for UK. In Malaysia, I'm not sure when it'll release either on 17th or 31st.

Nevertheless, I've watched it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahahaahahahahahaha SO HEPI THAT I COULD CRY A RIVER!!!! *faint* Where did I watch? Haha on megashare *evil laugh* But it's not good quality as it's the recorded one but I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE PERSON BECAUSE I CAN WATCH IT FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE. but I suggest you guys, better watch in theater. More quality and you'll feel the story even deeper.

Well, all you need before you watch this movie, DEFINITELY A......

YEP. A BOX OF TISSUE. and the book as well in case if you wanna check the difference. But I did some comparisons hahah! Oh yeah anyway,

Because you might feel irritated and would not be surprised as you would know which plot was the most touchable. So sorry, I need to express it here. So much feelings after the watch and I can't even tweet what I want as people will mad at me because I might be a spoiler :'( Sorry, bcoz I can't handle it :'( Excuse me I need to express what I feel here :( But not in Twitter *sigh* or with any of my fellas because they want it to be surprised and watch it after the release date. I might watch in theater as well. I guess so. Depends on my free time. Kenapa lah in Malaysia lambat sangat release haih -,-

Anyway, I would like to list some differences between both versions (as I've watched it already hihihihi) These are the plots which I remember that have differences.

  • Poems
In novel, Hazel and Augustus liked to recite poems to each other. Like in the plane where they were heading to Amsterdam & at the restaurant where they had dinner sponsored by Lidewij. In movie, there're no reciting poems at all.

  • Augustus ex-girlfriend
In novel, they mentioned about Caroline like how Gus and Caroline met, their first kiss and how she ended up her life because of cancer.( I guess it's cancer, I can't remember). In movie, there's NO ABOUT CAROLINE at all.

  • Augustus was dying
In novel, he did something wrong to G-tube after Hazel went to heis house, when he was pissed the bed. Then after Hazel reached the place and called the emergency, brought him to the hospital, she recited the poem called "The Red Wheelbarrow" to him. In movie, after the plot where Isaac, Hazel and Gus threw eggs to Monica's car, Augus called Hazel to tell that he was in the car, dying for help. After that, ok this one was same as the novel but there was no reciting poem plot. and basically, chapter 15, 16 & 17 were not in the movie.

  • Hazel argued with her mum
In novel, she argued with her mum about not eating dinner and how sad she was about Augustus' death. In movie, she didn't eat her dinner because she wanted to go to Augustus pre-funeral. There's a bit difference. Can refer to page 296.

  • Before funeral
In novel, after the plot where she said she called a ten a nine because to save her ten, she called Gus & checked his wall page & replied to people's comment about the death. In movie, she didn't open her laptop yet just straight away went to the funeral

  • The funeral

In novel, Isaac read his eulogy like what he did during the pre-funeral but this time, he did more serious. In movie, Isaac did not present to read his eulogy.

  • Peter Van Houtten
At Amsterdam in the movie, Peter played his role well as in the novel. In novel, after Peter said bad things about cancer and how childish Hazel was, Lidewij said "I RESIGN" but in movie, Lidewij didn't say so and Hazel Grace cursed before she went out of Peter's house hahahaha.

At funeral, in movie, the first sentence he said was "what a shame on you, kid". But in novel, he said "What a load of horse crap, eh, kid?" But in both versions, he did say "We gotta fake pray now"

After that, he approached Hazel who was in the car alone. He gave a letter to her but she crumpled it and shouted to him to get out of her car. In novel, Hazel was in the car with her mom. Peter didn't give the letter and she just asked him (scolded I think) to him to get out of the car but in a nice way haha.

  • Hazel got a letter
In novel, she gotta find out what was Gus' message to her. She found out from Isaac and had to contact with Lidewij and stuff. You can refer to novel. In movie, she found out from Isaac and surprisingly, the letter that she crumpled was AUGUSTUS' LETTER TO HER. So, after all, Peter sent the letter already to her.

Why did I tell you this? Because these plots were the saddest I guessed. Especially when Hazel found out that Gus died already. I cried, I swear.

Although there're some differences between both versions, I really loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this story. Thank you Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort for making this story alive :')

Here are some quotes that I love.
